Meeting last night about the proposed 3 lochs project. Attended by Clyde River Management Trust, Castle Angling Club, Kilbirnie Angling Club as well as commitee members from St.Winnoch.
Came to the conclusion that more information on the actual mechanics of the project are needed. CRMT will chase the RSPB on our behalf for more details

The new boat is now available for hire on Castle Semple Loch. Booking through A&G Leisure of Johnstone, the number is on the home page.
At the moment it is rowing only. Priced at a very reasonable £10/day for the boat only

On Sunday 4th May four club members cleaned out the boat compound at Castle Semple Loch.
This is to make room for the club\'s new boat which is due to arrive in a couple of weeks

The Annual Spring Meeting last night was a great success. The raffle and auction raising nearly £300 for club funds. Everyone looking forward to the new season.

Fly tying classes started in Cochrane Castle Community Centre, Johnstone. Learners and advanced fly-tyers welcome. Classes taken by Tommy McIlroy from 7pm - 9pm on Wednesday evening for the next 9 weeks.
Vices and materials supplied to beginners.

Monthly meeting last night. Willie Yeomans for the Clyde River Foundation attended and gave a very interesting talk on the work they are doing.
This also included an indepth look at the electro-fishing surveys done in and around our area.
A big thank you to Willie from the Club for taking the time to attend.

All interested parties welcome..

Annual General Meeting held in the Bowling Club at Lochwinnoch.
Fairly well attended with 16 members present.
New commitee members voted in.
Cup winners announced including Kevin Arthur who wins the Heaviest Rainbow Trout(Loch Leven 6lb+?) and the Rose Bowl trophy for most points accumulated during club outings.
Outings discussed for next year but left to the commitee do decide later on.
Fly-tying forum to be set up by Tommy McIlroy. Second week in January seemed the favourite start date. Venue and times to be finalised. Watch this space.
Talk on electrofishing to be given hopefully at the next meeting on December 5th.
Proposed walk way around Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch discussed by Muir Hamilton. Club members to attend next Community Council Meeting on the 3rd Dec??. See the Chatterbox for definite date.
